Joan Roca is a Spanish chef and co-founder of El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Catalonia, which has held three Michelin stars and been named the world's best restaurant multiple times by The World's 50 Best Restaurants. He has co-authored several cookbooks, including works documenting the innovative techniques and cuisine of El Celler de Can Roca, exploring sous-vide cooking, distillation, and avant-garde Catalan cuisine. Born in 1964, he leads the kitchen alongside his brothers Josep (sommelier) and Jordi (pastry chef), together forming one of the most celebrated culinary teams in the world. His cooking style blends deep-rooted Catalan traditions with cutting-edge modernist techniques.
